Heyward Smith, 77, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 13, 1949 in Conway, the son of the late Edison and Magline Hardin Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Reginald D. Smith; brothers, James Allen Smith, Hoyt Smith and Douglas Richard Smith.

Mr. Smith was a member of Conway Church of God and was employed by Coastal Timber most of his life. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie Smith; son, Bobby Wayne Smith (Lynn); stepson, Tracy Davis (Tracy); brothers, Clinton Smith, Bill Smith (Gwen) and Randal Smith; sister, Brittie Turner (Frank); grandchildren, Haley Godwin, Cody Davis, Shelley Jordan and Leslie Causey; five great-grandchildren and many other friends and family that will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Conway Church of God with Rev. Brett Davis and Daniel Stalvey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am till 10:45am, prior to the service at the Church.

Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
