Henry B. Watson, 86, passed away Saturday morning, March 9, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Horry County on April 4, 1937, a son of the late Bertice Book and Mary Inman Watson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Marion Watson and Charles Watson.

Mr. Watson was affectionately known as "Koot" by his family and friends. Henry was a lifetime member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church, where he loved to serve his Lord and Savior. He was a Sergeant in the US Army where he mastered Morse Code. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, watching his bluebirds and the Carolina Gamecocks.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Brenda Skipper Watson; children, Lori Turner (Ted) and Sharon Watson; siblings, Jimmy Watson, Mary Frances Todd, Linda Thompkins and Bobbie McLamb; granddaughter, Sarah Turner (Dylan) and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Tilly Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Altman and Rev. Ken Herrington officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
