Helen S. Johnson, 89, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 22, 1932 in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late Willie Simmons and Lula Belle Lance Simmons.

She was also predeceased by her husband, Tommy Johnson; sons, Earl Johnson and Randy Johnson; siblings, Willie "Jr." Simmons, Mack Simmons, Richard Simmons and Prince Simmons.

Helen enjoyed dancing, walking, gardening, singing, reading, sharing the message of Jehovah Kingdom with all she came in contact with and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone. She was always positive, encouraging and a very generous person.

Ms. Johnson is survived by her children, Dan Johnson (Wanda), William Johnson, Michael Johnson (Rebecca), Doug Johnson (Donna), and Emma J. Bryant (Norman); siblings, Lewis Simmons, Simon Simmons, Ruth Gamble and Lilly Ann Wright; half siblings, Larry, Rose and Viola; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren, along with many other family and friends who will miss her.

The family will have a celebration of her life service at a later date.
