Harriette Florence Murphy, 79, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, September 9, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 7, 1945, a daughter of the late William Herting and Catherine Entwistle Herting.

She was also predeceased by her husband, Edward Murphy and brother, William Herting Jr.

Harriette loved watching culinary shows. She also enjoyed various restaurants around Myrtle Beach, watching game shows, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved going to the beach and watching different shows with her children at Broadway at the Beach. She also loved dogs.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her children, John Kenny, Andrew Simon, Mary Kenny and Margaret Kenny; grandchildren, Crystal D'Orazio and David D'Orazio; great grandchildren, John and Jaxon, along with many other family and friends who will miss her.

Services will be private.
