Harold Adell Stalvey Sr., 61, of Galivants Ferry, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 30, 1950 in Conway, a son of the late Henry Odell and Cecil Chestnut Stalvey Sr. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by three brothers, Claudell Stalvey, Henry Odell Stalvey Jr. and Ricky L. Stalvey. Mr. Stalvey was a lifetime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 57 of Conway, American Legion of Aynor and a lifetime member of Disabled Veterans. Mr. Stalvey was the best husband in the world. He was a very loving husband, daddy and poppy. Mr. Stalvey is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Bonnie Jordan Stalvey of the home; two sons, Harold Adell Stalvey Jr. (Jessica) of Galivants Ferry and Jason Shondell Stalvey of NY; one brother, David Odell Stalvey Sr. of Longs; five sisters, Jewene Gerald of Loris, Ivadell Crouse of Loris, Peggy McDowell of Loris, Patsy Inman (Larry) of Conway and Deletha Norris (Coy Lee) of Loris; three grandchildren, D'Lorah, Adysen and Levi Stalvey and many other family and friends who will miss him. The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Services from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Donnie Graham, Rev. Lindsey Inman, Rev. Bill Harrell and Rev. Bob Fogner officiating. Burial will follow at 2pm at Florence National Cemetery.
