Fred Lee Sterling passed away on February 21, 2022 at McLeod Seacoast in Little River. He was born January 27, 1947 in Meadville, Pa., son of the late Charles W. Sterling and Shirley A. Hood Sterling.

He was also predeceased by his wife, Cynthia R. Sterling; son, Scott Sterling and brothers, Charles Sterling and Clyde Sterling.

Fred retired as a Locomotive Engineer from the railroad after forty years and served in the US Navy for four years. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandsons. A loving father, grandfather, brother and friend is how he will always be remembered.

Mr. Sterling is survived by his daughter; Gayle E Sterling; brother, Glenn Sterling; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Sterling; grandchildren, Aaron Cosner, Ethan Cosner (Ashley) and Justin Tivis (Kasey); one great grandchild, Scotty Tivis, along with many family and friends who will miss him.
