Frankie Ray "Papa" Lowrimore, 70, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at GSRMC surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 19, 1954 in Marion County, a son of the late Moses M. and Julia Mae Richardson Lowrimore.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, MacArthur Lowrimore, MichaelKeith Lowrimore, Heyward Blondell Lowrimore, Moses "Jr." Lowrimore, Lavenia Lowrimore, Hazel Carrigg and Lillis Mae Cotney.

Ray was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Everyone he met was greeted with a smile. Ray enjoyed being with his family, especially his three grandchildren. His love for making people laugh and making sure everyone had plenty to eat when visiting him was a trademark that will never be forgotten.

Mr. Lowrimore is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Gennell Hardee Lowrimore; children, Ashley Ray Lowrimore and Jamie MiltonLowrimore; siblings, Bryant Lawrimore and Bobby Lowrimore (Delta); grandchildren, Joules Lowrimore, Briggs Lowrimore and Milie Lowrimore, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.
