Frances “Rachel” Smith, 72, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Nichols on December 15, 1953, a daughter of the late Horace Lee and Frances Elliott Lovett.

Rachel enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Randall Smith; children, Angela Scott Olszewski, Gina Williams (Jason) and Lynn Hucks (DJ); grandchildren, Daniel Olszewski, David Olszewski, Tyler Williams, River Lee Williams, Brantley Hucks, Gunner Hucks; great grandchildren, Kerrington Williams, Graham Williams and Maeve Williams, along with many other family and friends who will miss her.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
