Errol "Gene" Harrelson, 84, passed away Sunday April 6, 2025 at Compass Post Rehabilitation. He was born February 21, 1941 in Horry County, the son of the late, Charles D. Harrelson and Mary M. Howell Harrelson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Harrelson and his nephews, Kevin Altman and Kris Altman.

Gene was a loving father, brother and friend, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Gene proudly served his country in the Unites States Army. He worked as an estimator for Harrelson Construction Company for many years.

Mr. Harrelson is survived by his children, Errol Gene "BO" Harrelson Jr. and his wife Kate and Cynthia Polen and her husband, David; his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Harrelson and his wife Lois Ann, Keith Harrelson and his wife Gail and Esther Smith and her husband Donnie; seven grandchildren, Justin Harrelson, Amber Harrelson, Caleigh Steck, Tyler Steck, Alyssa Beck, Aimee Harrelson and Aubry Harrelson  (Grace); six great grandchildren, William, Rosalee, Amelia, Londyn, Karsyn and Payton;  nephews, Swain Harrelson and Sean Harrelson (Earon); niece, Casey Huggins (Matt). and many other family and friends who will miss him.

A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00 am Saturday April 12, 2025 at Watson Funeral Services.

The family will receive friends after the service at the Funeral Home.
