Elizabeth Ann Player,62, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born September 14, 1963 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Leon Kenneth Richardson and Roberta Alford Richardson.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Leon Richardson and his wife Ellen.

Ann was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and graduated from Brittons Neck High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends

Mrs. Player is survived by her son, Michael Christopher Owens; special friend, Katrina Matthews and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Friday, May 8, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Tommy Haselden officiating.

Burial will follow at Old Neck Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
