Ed Oliver, 57, passed away Saturday, October 21st, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, North Carolina. He was born June 3rd, 1966 in Pittsburgh, PA. The son of Regis Oliver and Sharon Bogart Oliver. Ed was a Special Needs Teacher at Loris Middle School and the former Marketing Manager at WMBF News.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his Wife of 35 years and best friend of 38, Karen Kramer Oliver; two sons Timothy Oliver and Brady Oliver; two brothers, Michael (Janice) Oliver, and Brian (Loretta) Oliver; nephews, Kyle Johnson, Michael Chad Oliver, Joseph (Janessa) Kramer, Gary (Caroline) Carter, Dylan Oliver, Lucas Oliver, Noah Oliver, and Ethan Oliver; nieces, Jordan (Jake) Rathbun, Raeann (Alex) Stein, Kendra (Andrew) Reiche, and Deidra Marie Oliver; as well as an unborn grandchild, along with many other family and friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his brother, Chad Oliver and his sister Deidra Oliver.

Ed was passionate about his students and cycling. Everyone who met Ed knew that he was constantly smiling, embracing life, and inspiring those around him. He was happiest at home in his backyard with his dogs; Koda and Hazel, cats; Aria, Josie, and Whiskey, and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at Loris High School Auditorium. The family will receive friends after the service.
