Edgar Lee "Ed" Hardwick, 90, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Conway Medical Center. He was born September 8, 1932 in Horry County, a son of the late Berry Thomas Hardwick and Isla Hyman Hardwick.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Lewis; siblings, J.W. Hardwick, Carolyn Reason and Earl Hardwick; one grandson, Jamie Graham.

Edgar was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who loved spending time with his family. He was a friend to all, never meeting a stranger. For all those who knew him, his favorite food was Chinese chicken. Edgar served in the National Guard for thirteen years.

Mr. Hardwick is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Laurette Cooper Hardwick; one son, Michael Hardwick (Jackie); brother Sam Hardwick (Jeanette); sister, Nancy Squires; one grandchild, Sandra Rabon and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Todd officiating.

Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00am until 10:45am before the service.
