Deborah “Debbie” Henderson Davis, 75, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on October 6, 2026. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Aubrey and Maxine Henderson.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 21 years, Richard “Rich” Davis, and her daughter, Brittney Bonds Mullis.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Richard Davis and Rebecca (Todd) Abernathy; her four grandchildren, Caroline (Casey) Whiteside, Lydia (Michael) Senecal, Cooper Abernathy, and Jackson Abernathy; and her great-grandson, Holden Senecal.

Debbie was a graduate of the University of Memphis and dedicated 31 years of her life to teaching in the Memphis City School System. She retired from teaching in 2004 and moved to Myrtle Beach, where she continued to share her love of teaching by working as a long-term substitute teacher for 5 years.

Debbie will be remembered for her love of family, her dedication to teaching, and the many lives she touched throughout her years as an educator. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved Morkie, Riley, who was her loyal companion and a constant source of love and comfort.

Memorials may be made in Debbie’s memory to the American Kidney Fund.
