Dayton Coates, 77, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 24, 1947 in Horry County, a son of the late Cleveland and Mamie Hooks Coates.

Mr. Coates is survived by his wife, Glenda Stalvey Coates and his son, Cleveland M. "Scooter" Coates.
