David Eugene Sorrows, 68, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Grand Strand Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 15, 1957 in Atlanta, Ga, a son of the late William Leroy Sorrows and Barbara Ann Roden.

David was a loving husband, dad, granddaddy, brother and friend. He was a floral designer, who loved decorating, cooking and catering. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Mr. Sorrows is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Maliece Stiffey Sorrows; son, Joshua Sorrows (Sara); brother, Danny Sorrows; sister, Frankie Robbson (Jerry); three grandchildren, Caleb Sorrows, Micah Sorrows and Ethan Sorrows, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held at Jamestown Baptist Church, 2PM Thursday, January 29, 2026 with the Dr. Alan Floyd officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 6pm until 8pm at Watson Funeral Services.
