Daniel Robert Overton, 65, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 3, 1957 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Robert T. and Helen Scott Overton.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his daughter, Elaine McCumiskey and son-in-law, Matthew McCumiskey.

Daniel was a US Army Veteran and served twenty years at the VA Medical Center in Bath, NY. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved the Buffalo Bills, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.

Mr. Overton is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Ella Kemp Overton; children, Edward L. Smith and Erica Giallella (Anthony); siblings, Theodore Egger (Susan), Larry David Egger (Janet) and Karen Overton Mix (Walter); grandchildren, E. Bobby Smith (Bree), Dalton Smith, Gavin McCumishkey, Derek McCumishkey, Keelan Smith, Colin McCumiskey, Ceciella Giallella, Claudia Giallella, Colletta Giallella, Allyson Liddell, Rylan Burley, Anthony Giallella, Joseph Giallella and Eliana Smith; great grandchild, Kinsley Smith; God children, Jennifer Mix, Joseph Mix and Eric Egger; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.
