Courtney Marie Hulit, 27, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026 at her residence. She was born December 21, 1998 in Pontiac, Michigan, a daughter of Henry P. Hulit and Tawnya M. Emerick-Hulit.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Bonnie Lou Hulit; maternal great grandmother, Eva Mae Irish and uncle, John Emerick.

Courtney was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend to all who knew her. She lived her life surrounded by horses and dedicated every moment she could to her horse, Lacey Mae. Courtney will be remembered for her unwavering sense of self and following her dreams. Her kindness and laughter were a gift to everyone she met. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a part of the Youth Group where she greatly enjoyed missions work in the church and community. She was also a member of The American Legion in Lake Orion, MI.

In addition to her parents, Henry Hulit (Lisa) of Brittons Neck and Tawnya Hulit (Robert Lezell) Lake Orion; Ms. Hulit is survived by her sister, Eva Mae Hulit; maternal grandparents, George Emerick and Becky Emerick all of Lake Orion; paternal grandfather, Ken Hulit (Patti) of Murrells Inlet; special friend, Linda Brant; her fur baby, Angel and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services will be held 4:00pmThursday, July 30, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Scott Collins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:45 at the funeral home before the service.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Courtney in Michigan at a later date.
