Cleburn Howard James, 89, died Friday, November 7, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Conway on October 15, 1936, a son of the late Julie James Jones.

In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette Anderson James.

Mr. James was a loving father, father-in-law and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman who liked fishing and hunting. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed eating seafood which was his favorite food.

Mr. James is survived by one son, Joseph Cleburn James; one daughter, Joyce Ann Booth (Rev. Rawlin Booth), and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Graveside Services will be held 2pm Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rawlin Booth officiating.

The family will receive family and friends from1:00pm until 1:45pm at the church fellowship hall.
