Christine Capps, 80, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born September 22, 1943 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Ned Alford and Mary Elizabeth Larrimore Alford.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry Capps, a sister, Roberta Alford Richardson and granddaughter, Ashton Roberts.

Christine was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, shopping and going to VFW. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them all, especially her sisters.

Ms. Capps is survived by her son, Ricky Roberts (Jan); her daughters, Brenda Roberts and Sandy Roberts; sisters, Pearline Singleton (Buddy), Virginia Jones (Edward) and Margaret Owens; two great- grandchildren, Keilee Roberts and Karlee Roberts and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Funeral Services will be held 3:30pm Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel.

Burial will follow at Old Neck Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
