Christina (“Tina”) Tharpe Krasner, 62, of Myrtle Beach, SC, died suddenly of heart failure on June 12, 2026. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Robert Krasner; her son, Joseph Tharpe of Cromwell, CT; her step-daughter, Nicole Laffin of Ellington, CT; sister and brother-in-law Katherine and Michael DePasquale of Oveida, FL; her sister and brother-in-law Ann and Robert Dannenfelser of Aberdeen, MD; brother and sister-in-law Philip Tharpe and Eileen Curtin of Lebanon, CT; sister Patricia Tharpe of Cromwell, CT; sister and brother-in-.law Lorena and Jonathan Grill of Pecksville, PA; three, grandchildren Alexia, Sophia and McKayla Laffin of Ellington, CT; 13 nieces and nephews; a number of grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and her mother-in-law, Marlene Krasner of Myrtle Beach, SC. She was predeceased by her son, Sean Tharpe.

Daughter of the late William and Joan (Sheridan) Tharpe, she grew up in West Hartford, CT, attending St. Thomas the Apostle, Plant Junior High, and Hall High schools. She moved to Vernon, CT after meeting her husband and then to South Windsor, CT. She worked for many years at The Buckingham Restaurant in Glastonbury, CT, and Anthony’s Pizza and Restaurant in Vernon, CT. In 2000, she and Bob retired to the home they had built in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she worked part time at Cracker Barrel.

Tina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, usually hosting social gatherings for holidays throughout the year. She loved walking her dog, Rocky, and cruising in the Caribbean with family and friends.

There will be no funeral; instead, a Celebration of Life is planned for the end of July in Myrtle Beach.
