Charles "Sam" S. Johnson, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born June 23, 1932 in Horry County, he was the son of the late Charles V. Johnson, Jr. and Mattie E. Owens.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Hattie Mae Johnson and his son, Jerry Levon Johnson.

Sam was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and he enjoyed farming.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Sammy Johnson (Debbie), Raymond Johnson and Saundra Ann Cartrette (Terry); brother, Paul Johnson (Emma);

grandchildren, Matt Johnson, Brian Rabon, Scottie Rabon, Tracy Rabon, Amanda Johnson, Tasha Gaddy and Christy Johnson; ten great grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with Rev Ragsdale Allsbrook, Rev. Donnie Graham and Rev. Jimmy Floyd officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
