Obituary

Charles Joseph "Joe" Imdorf, 60, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2025, at Conway Medical Center. Born on May 23, 1964, in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Richard Imdorf and Fern Imdorf, who survives.Joe grew up in Ridgway, PA, and graduated from Ridgway High School in 1983.He is survived by his wife, Derrenda, with whom he shared a strong friendship. Joe is also survived by 2 daughters- Rachael Imdorf of Conway, SC, and Carissa Peachy (Caleb) of Milesburg, PA. His presence in their lives was a gift they will carry with them always. He was also a loving stepfather to Christian and Cheyenne Cherok and Cheyenne's daughter, Gracie.Joe is survived by his 2 sisters: Linda Brian (Jody) of Ridgway, PA, and Amy Elvis of Conway, SC. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces: Mindy, Kelly, Jessie, Taylor, and Alexis. He will be deeply missed by his nephew (and fishing buddy) Matthew. He also made a lasting impression on several great-nieces and great-nephews: Brian, Addison, Brooks, Cada, Faith, Lila, and Kayson.Joe is survived by his aunts and uncles: Elsie Haralson, Earl Heffner, Ann Heffner, and Kay Heffner, and is preceded in death by his uncle, Jim Heffner. In addition to his father (who passed away on March 17, 2025), Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Imdorf, who passed in 2015. Joe's heart never stopped missing both of them. Joe was one of the best heavy equipment operators around. He had a natural touch and eye for precision and there wasn't a machine he couldn't run or a mechanical problem he couldn't fix. Anyone who knew him knew he wasn't afraid to roll up his sleeves and put in the time and effort to get the job done. He was employed by AO Hardee & Son for 20 years and loved to share stories about the job sites he had worked on. Joe was never happier than when he was cruising around town in his beloved Jeep. Joe was always checking in and making sure his family knew they were important to him. But, more than anything, Joe loved his girls. They were his pride, his joy, and the best parts of him. Joe's kindness and big heart will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service to honor Joe's life and legacy will be led by Mark Elvis at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 18, at Watson Funeral Service Chapel, located at 2300 Hwy 378, Conway, SC.
