Cecil Jennings Hawes Jr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at his residence. Born December 7, 1947 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Dr. Cecil Jennings Hawes Sr. and Ann Jackson Bratten Hawes.

He was also predeceased by his sister, Ann “Vickie” Hawes Trotter.

Cecil was a generous and upstanding man. He was very outgoing and loved to tell a joke. In addition to being an avid golfer, he loved old beach music and was an excellent salesman.

Mr. Hawes is survived by his daughter, Ashley Hawes and grandchild, Zayvion Darby, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.
