Carolyn Collins Hewitt, 76, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 14, 1949 in Rockingham, NC, a daughter of the late, Ralph and Helen Grace Moss Collins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Hewitt.

Carolyn was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met. She loved her animals, especially her cats and enjoyed feeding the geese. She retired from AVX after 35 years of service. Carolyn enjoyed shopping and cooking with her grandchildren and she loved her family deeply.

Mrs. Hewitt is survived by her son, Jim Hewitt; her daughters, Christina Attar (Ilan) and Annette Ervin (Pete); brothers, Bo Collins (Patsy) and Tom Collins (Barbara); sisters, Pat Blake and Hilda McDonald; four grandchildren, Gabriel, Ilana, Samuel and Timothy; great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, along with many family and friends who will greatly miss her.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 5, 2026, at Watson Funeral Services Chapel, with the Pastor Josh Keith officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
