Canon Lee Burkett, 19, passed away from a boating accident on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Conway Medical Center. He was born February 12, 2007 in Horry County, a son of Kellie Lee Burkett and the late Eric Bryan Burkett.

Canon loved his Lord and Savior, along with all his family very much. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he met. With his huge heart, he lived life to the fullest, never met a stranger and brought laughter and joy to everyone around him. Canon was also blessed to have an extended family at Lee Electric where he was employed.

In addition to his mother, Kellie Lee Burkett, Canon is survived by his siblings, Ericson Burkett and Erica Miller (Brandon); niece, Skyler Miller; girlfriend, Jayana Lovell; maternal grandparents, Joseph M. Lee and Ruth Virginia Lee; paternal grandparents, Richard A. Burkett and Joyce Pendergrass Hastings; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Funeral Services will be held 3pm Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Brandon Blair officiating.

Burial will follow at C. Graham Cemetery on Hampton Road.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:30pm until 2:45pm at the funeral home.
