Bryson "Bud" Skipper, 81, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at MUSC surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 19, 1941 in Horry County, a son of the late Willie Joe Skipper and Zettie Shannon Skipper.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Wayne "Dock" Skipper, Earl Skipper and Toni Teresa Todd.
Bryson was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a member of Goretown Missionary Church, where he loved good preaching as long as they were preaching from the Bible. He had a great passion for the DAV'S and was always willing to help others, along with fishing and going out to eat seafood in Tabor City. He was past master of the Jordanville Lodge #297 and served in the U.S. Army where he received the Army Occupation Medal (Berlin) and Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. Skipper is survived by his wife of sixty years, Gracie M. Edwards Skipper; daughters, Sharon Lee (Walton), Karen Hendrick (Phillip); grandchildren, Rev. Micheal Lee (Carmen), Anna Grace Watts (Hunter); great grandchild, Josiah Lee and many other family and friends who will miss him.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00am Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Juniper Bay Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Micheal Lee and Rev. Wayne Skipper officiating.
