Obituary

Bruce M. Holloway, 75, passed away peacefully at his residence in South Carolina on May 2, 2024. Prior to moving to South Carolina last year, he was a lifelong resident of Middlesex County, NJ. Bruce retired from Merck in Rahway, NJ where he had been employed as a Chemist. Following his retirement, he was a substitute teacher in the Metuchen School District.
Bruce's hobbies included music, poetry, and quips. When his children were young, he loved to play his guitar for them. He would sing John Denver and Beatles songs. In a lefty's song, every note hits the right chord. As he grew older his arthritis inhibited his ability to play the guitar but not his love for music. Bruce enjoyed writing poetry. He would include personalized poems in greeting cards that he sent out to friends and family. Lefties always have the right jokes up their sleeve. Bruce had a quip for every occasion. His other talents included ear wiggling, moving each eye independently, and signing his name with both hands at the same time in a mirror image. Lefties always make the right impression. Bruce was someone who had a natural ability to make others feel comfortable and at ease, often with a lighthearted and humorous demeanor.
His parents, Ferris James and Mary Ann Holloway; his sister, Carol Sussman; and his 2nd wife, Betty Holloway, predeceased Bruce. He is survived by his brother, Bradford Holloway, and wife, Joan; his twin brother, Jeffrey Holloway; his ex-wife and mother of his children, Janet Holloway; his daughter, Lisa Ann Morozowski, and husband, Jason; his son, Christopher Holloway, and wife, Tina; and his son, Jason Holloway, and wife, Debbie; his granddaughters, Christina Holloway and Abigail Morozowski; and other loving relatives plus friends.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at Moby Dick's in Sewaren, NJ on Thursday, June 20th from 6pm-8pm. Bruce "LEFT" this earth in his "RIGHT" mind.
