In loving memory of Brenden Dan Lee Melton, who unexpectedly left this world on February 14, 2024, in Myrtle Beach, SC, at the age of 20. Born on September 19, 2003, in Myrtle Beach, SC to Brandon A. Melton and Jessica G. Vickory. Brenden was predeceased by his grandfather, Terry Melton, and stepfather, Christopher Tatum.

Brenden found joy in the world of computer games, creating music videos, exploring on his dirt bike, and casting lines into the waters since childhood. His love for dogs was evident, reflecting his compassionate heart.

Brenden's caring nature extended to his cherished family and friends, with whom he shared countless moments of laughter and love. Despite facing challenges, he maintained a kind heart and a resilient sense of humor that touched the lives of those around him. In remembrance, we celebrate the enduring impact he leaves on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Brenden is survived by his loving mother, Jessica G. Vickory, and his estranged father, Brandon A. Melton. He leaves behind his brothers, Bryson Melton, Orion Tatum, and Aeson Tatum, as well as his sister, Breanna Melton. Brenden's presence will be missed by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Brenda Vickory, and his paternal grandmother, Teresa Melton. He is also remembered by his maternal great-grandmother, Bobbie Sue Mahoney, and paternal great-grandmother, Joan Melton. In addition to his immediate family, Brenden leaves behind many close cousins who will miss him dearly. May their memories of Brenden bring comfort during this difficult time.

His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him. May we remember Brenden for the joy he brought into our lives and the special moments we shared.

Funeral Services will be held 2:30pm Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Chris Grainger officiating

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
