Brenda Dale Brown, 81, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at Pruitt Health. She was born April 17, 1944 in Spartanburg, daughter of the late Glenn Levi and Dovie Godfrey Cross.

She was also predeceased by her husband, Thomas Jackson Brown; son, Johnny Wayne Brown and step-grandson, Joseph Santua.

Brenda was a member of University Baptist Church, Board Member of Grand Strand Citizens for Life and attended BFS at First Baptist of Myrtle Beach for eighteen years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Jeffrey Cross (Tammy), Dean "Jackie" Brown (Wendy), James "Jimmy" Brown (Terry), Lisa Brown, Joe Brown and Laura Abernathy (Eric); siblings, Rodney Cross (Susan), Sharon Thomas, Pamela Warren (Jerry), Lori Cross Johnson (Teddy) and Tami Cross; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; four nieces; three nephews and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Funeral Service will be held 2pm, Monday, August 18, 2025 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Charlie Gilliland officiating.

Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
