Obituary

Bradley Edward Young, 72, of Conway, South Carolina passed away on June 17, 2025. Brad was born on November 20, 1952 in Hennepin County, Minnesota.

He graduated from Wayzata High School in 1970 and later earned his degree from Metropolitan Stated University in Minnesota.

Throughout his career, Brad served as a Personnel Manager at General Mills, EF Johnson, and The World Council of Credit Unions.  He brought thoughtfulness, professionalism, and a deep loyalty to his colleagues - earning the respect and friendship of many over the years. Brad lived a life marked by quiet strength, compassion and deep devotion to his family.  He was known for his thoughtful nature, warm heart, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. With quick wit and a playful sense of humor, Brad was always ready with a joke or a lighthearted comment that brought laughter and comfort to everyone around him. Brad had a lifelong love for music, which was a central part of his identity.  He especially enjoyed playing his euphonium with the Madison Municipal Band, where he found joy not only in the music, but in the camaraderie of fellow musicians.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara White Young of Conway; daughter, Bridget Nawrot (Bill) of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Nathaniel Young of Madison, Wisconsin; mother of Brad's two children, Annette Felice; stepson, William Justin Old (Ericka) of Lake City, South Carolina; sister, Diane Holliday (Vance) Tucson, Arizona; niece, Xi Holliday and three beloved grandchildren, Alex, Emily and Brendon Nawrot.

Brad was preceded in death by a second wife Kathryn Young; parents, Loran and Arlene Young and brother, Doug Young.

A celebration of life with be held at a later date.
