Bobby Frederick Gunther, 87, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Embrace Hospice. Born September 17, 1937 in Aracoma, West Virginia to James and Marguerite Gee Gunther.

Bob was an incredible loving and kind husband and father, known for his sweet and calm demeanor. Bob was a US Air Force veteran. He was a self-starter and spent many years in the computer field, supervising, directing and consulting for many large industries including: Continental Airlines, Rex Humbard Foundation, PTL Television Network, Pacific Information Services and Allstate.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son, Steven Gunther; granddaughter, Rachael Oxford and his sister, Ella Stowers.

Bob is survived by the love of his life, Marie Slawter Gunther; his favorite Yorkshire Terrier, Cindy; daughters, Anita Carr, Kimberly Oxford (Ricky) and Gigi St. John (Andy); son, Kenneth Gunther; sisters, Vina Gale Phillips, JoAnn Gresham and Darlene Gunther; sisters-in-law, Joyce Boyce (Ron), Sherry Bullock, Vickie Neale (Greg) and Catherine Watson (Mark), along with many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family members and friends.

Bob enjoyed working on his family ancestry, which he shared with cousins, William Gunther and John David Gunther.

The family wishes to thank Jennifer, Shannon and especially Jackie of Embrace Hospice for their tender and loving care of Bob during his final hours.
