Barbara Ann Grainger, 69, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, March 11, 2024 at Conway Medical Center. She was born April 26, 1954 in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late Lloyd Hilburn and Verneice Hardee Hilburn.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Buddy Hilburn, Brenda Norris, Teresa Pascarella and Judy Haithcock.

Barbara was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved music, enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. She loved her church and church family at Oakey Swamp Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member. Barbara was caring, kind and selfless, always putting others before herself.

Mrs. Grainger is survived by her husband of fifty- five years, Steve Grainger; son, Dwayne Grainger (Ashley); daughter, Tracy Whitner (Henry); five grandchildren, Michael Whitner, Chase Whitner (fiancé Jaelyn), Mackenzie Grainger, Evan Grainger and River Grainger, many other family and friends who will miss her.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3pm Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Oakey Swamp Baptist Church with the Dr. Randall Jones and Rev. Lee Singleton officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
