Annie Jean Martin, 69, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston with her loving family by her side. She was born July 1, 1955 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Arthur B. Rabon and Mary Jane Anderson Rabon.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Burroughs Rabon, Douglas Rabon, Jimmy Rabon, Hazel Kinney and Wilmina Skipper.

Jean was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved traveling especially going on cruises. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with them. Jean also loved taking long walks with her husband in the afternoon.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Jesse Laverne Martin; her sons, Scotty Martin (Jennifer), Jesse Martin Jr. (Amber) and Ervin Martin (Cassie); two brothers, Robert Rabon and Paul Rabon: eight sisters, Christine Barnhill, Helen Kinney (Pete), Libby Russell, Addie Bullard, Phyllis Stephens (Timmy), Sandra Elvis (Ray), Becky Newell and Brenda Richardson (Marion); eight grandchildren, Adryana Edwards, Devyn Todd (Beth), Joshua Musser, Dalton Martin, Hunter Martin, Madison Martin, Hailey Hardee and Austin Martin; three great grandchildren, Payton Marlowe, Mathew Marlowe and Max Saults along with other family and friends who will miss her.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Cool Springs Methodist Church with the Rev. Dustin Hawkins and Glenn Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
