Anna Maria Hucks, 89, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. She was born April 24, 1936, Verona, Italy.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Bunyan Hucks, (an Army Veteran who served in the Korean and Vietnam War) and daughter, Denise Hucks Littlejohn.

Anna enjoyed working in her flower garden, shopping and cooking for her family. After retiring as a teachers aid from Waccamaw Elementary School, she began cleaning and socializing with the people she worked for. Above all, Anna will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Ms. Hucks is survived by her children, John B. Hucks, Jr. (Patsy) and Teresa Hucks; grandchildren, Megan Cara Hucks Pearson (Tyler), Shanna Rea Collins (Jeremy), Lindsey Littlejohn Walker (Nathan), Amber Nicole Ray Montgomery (Anthony) and Nicholas John Ray; fourteen great grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss her.

The family would like to thank the doctor's and nursing staff at Conway Medical Center and McLeod Hospice House for all their love and care they provided.

No services are planned at this time.
