Anita Louise Bogert passed away on Sunday July 19th 2026 in Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach South Carolina after a brief illness. Born July 10th 1942, in Harrisburg PA, she was the eldest daughter of the late William R. Page Jr. and Fayetta Konn Page.

Anita graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1960, where she was a majorette in the marching band and played basketball. She attended college in Springfield, Ohio, at Wittenberg University. She was an active member of the Chi Omega sorority and graduated in 1964 with a BA in psychology.

After college she moved to New York City where she worked for several years for the law firm of Dewey Ballantine before meeting and marrying her husband, Al, in 1966. They settled in Mechanicsburg PA after a short stint in Oklahoma, where Al served in the Air Force.

Anita was active with her high school and college alumni associations and attended several reunions. She loved spending time with family and friends, and attending her children’s many activities and sporting events. She was an avid bibliophile and was never without a book.

Anita was thoughtful and generous, conscientiously remembering birthdays, holidays and special occasions with cards and letters. She loved playing games, particularly card games, board games and word games. Always quick to appreciate jokes, she often found and shared humor with others. She was also fond of spending time at the seashore and enjoyed many beach vacations with family and friends.

Anita is survived by her husband of 60 years, Albert Z. Bogert; their two children, Allison Page Niemi (Erik Niemi) of Bennington, VT, and Andrew Zabriskie Bogert (Leeann Bogert) of Charleston, SC; sister Myrna Morgan (Glenn Morgan) of Ft. Wayne, IN; and three grandchildren: Michael Niemi, David Niemi and Annelise Niemi.

A remembrance meal will be held at Damon’s Grill in Myrtle Beach, SC, on Friday September 18th from 12pm to 3pm, where friends can gather to pay their respects and reminisce. Services will be held in Camp Hill, PA prior to her internment in her family’s resting place in Rolling Green Cemetery on October 3rd, 2026 for family and friends. Specific details will be forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to honor Anita’s life and memory make a donation in her name to their public library of choice.
