Andrew Francis Friestad, 33, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at his residence in Conway, SC of natural causes. He was born May 16, 1990 in Vail, CO to Jennifer (Miller) Friestad and John Thomas (JT) Friestad.

Andy was a kind and loving soul. His passing leaves his family broken-hearted and missing him forever.

Andrew graduated from Eagle Valley High School in 2008, attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO then worked with his father at the Eagle River Water District before enrolling in Johnson and Wales Culinary Inst in North Carolina. He developed several medical issues as his fight for sobriety continued for the last year of his life.

In his younger years, he played hockey, bass guitar and enjoyed cooking. He loved all Colorado sports teams.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rita Anne (Hart) Friestad, maternal grandfather Loyal Miller and his Uncle Leigh Thurston.

He is survived by his parents, John and Jennifer, paternal grandfather, Edwin Friestad and maternal grandmother, Eleanor Miller and Great Uncle Jack (Anne) Hart. He is also survived by his paternal uncles, Mike (Gloria) Friestad and Jim (Eileen) Friestad; aunts, Mary Rita (Reuben) Nelson and Janet (Leigh deceased) Thurston. He is also survived by his maternal uncles, Jeffrey (Pam) Miller, and Eric Miller; aunt, Nancy (Mark) Radick and many cousins.

Andrew will be cremated and there will be no services. Please keep his family in your prayers and hold your loved ones tight.
