Allard "AB" Hucks Jr., 71, passed away Thursday August 1, 2024 at his residence, with his loving family by his side. He was born May 21, 1953 in Horry County, a son of the late Allard Brockington Hucks Sr. and Foye Skipper Brooks Hucks.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Glenda Lee Jackson Hucks; siblings, James "Bob" Hucks, J.D. Hucks, Wendell Hucks, LaVal Larrimore, Carl Brooks, Lavon Brooks, J.C. Brooks, Ernestine Lewis and Harriett Causey

AB loved spending time with family and friends, especially his daughter. He was a very hard worker and his love for seeing things grow, is why he was a farmer, farming all his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time and had a love for all animals.

Mr. Hucks is survived by his daughter, Crystal Dawn Hucks Elliott (Jamie); brothers, Lamar Skipper, Leon Brooks, Ray Brooks and Buddy Brooks; sisters, Wanda Lewis, Dianne Strickland, Juanita Strickland, Patricia Harper, Sally Brown and Bobbie Jean Oliver Coker; wife, Wanda R. Hucks; Russell Wise, honorary brother, life long friend and employer for 44 years and other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, August 5, 2024 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Clifford Strickland and Rev. Tom Grant officiating.

Burial will follow in Old Neck Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the Funeral Home, prior to the service.
